The short version
One analytics cookie, no advertising cookies, no account, no newsletter. In Europe nothing is set until you press Accept. Elsewhere analytics starts on arrival and you can turn it off in one click from the footer.
Analytics and consent
We use Google Consent Mode v2, and the default it sets depends on where you are. Ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are denied for everyone, everywhere, always — we run no advertising and have nothing to personalise.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland analytics storage is also denied by default, on every page, before anything else runs. Google Analytics 4 loads only after you click Accept. Rejecting is not a suppressed cookie — the script is never fetched at all.
Everywhere else analytics storage defaults to granted and Google Analytics 4 loads with the page, which is why most visitors never see a banner. You are not stuck with that: Cookie settings in the footer brings the banner back on any page, and Reject stops the script from the next page load onward.
To decide which of the two applies to you, the page asks Cloudflare for your country code and nothing else. That request sets no cookie, carries no identifier, and the answer is kept in your browser for the current tab session only.
Cloudflare Web Analytics runs either way because it is cookieless and sets no identifier.

aw-consent and aw-geo are not cookies and are never sent to a server — they stay in your browser.
Third parties
Booking links and availability widgets belong to GetYourGuide; hotel links belong to Trip.com. Once you interact with a widget or follow a link, that company's own privacy policy applies, not ours.
Your rights
Withdraw consent any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page — it clears aw-consent and brings the banner straight back, wherever in the world you are. Clearing this site's data in your browser does the same thing. Because we store no account and no identifier of our own, requests for access or erasure of analytics data are handled through Google's own controls.
